Is it even fair to expect perfection from a burden so difficult to often bear, so much so that even many of society’s so-called superheroes can’t even add the word “father” to their resume? A task that it would drive a man to commit crime (ala Denzel Washington in John Q) or to risk his life (like Dwayne Johnson in Snitch)?
Card Captors is about a girl called Sakura, she opened a book one day and then a whole bunch of cards came out and flew around the city and stuff. Now she has to get them back. But she also has to contend with a douche-bag love interest. Yay! Plus I think she’s ten so that’s where we get the cute from.
If you plan to go to a FanimeCon, make sure to take many photos. These cosplayers were all more than willing to pose for shots. And, mind you, they do not only do regular poses, they even do motions familiar for each character. In other words, they play the part. No wonder it is called “cosplay.” Wow!
You may also decide to go with the time of year as to what layout you will use. Check different MySpace user profiles in the weeks before Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day, and other holidays to see what people are doing to their layouts to help celebrate the holiday.
Well, it’s, different. Okay this show is insane, admittedly you have to wait a bit for it to get really funny. It’s about a bunch of girls in High School, and what makes the show cute is the little girl who skipped a couple of grades to be in High School. But I must warn you, if you do want to watch it, don’t watch it all in one go. It will turn your mind to mush.
The stores hold a cosplay contest as well as a trivia contest within their aisles, the winners receiving anything from an top anime magazine to a F.Y.E. gift card. The number and size of the prizes range from store to store depending on the size of the group that gathers. The biggest draw to these events isn’t just the prizes, it is the fact that it gives them an excuse to wear a costume they may otherwise only be able to wear once or twice a year at a convention.
Two days ago, I began posting portions of my interview with Gossip Girl writer and co-executive producer, Josh Safran. So far, he has covered everything from leaked kisses to queen misses. Today, in the final installation, Josh administers the very last drops of what he is able to discuss about the coming season without giving it all away. Let’s just hope there is enough to deter Gossip Girl rabies.
However, no matter what, the games are about catching and battling made-up monsters. The games will always have a child-like quality to them. You’ll never see a dark Pokemon game with violence, bloodshed or swearing. The games are about childhood innocence and fun, and with Black and White adding a whopping 156 new Pokemon to the pot (that brings the grand total to 649!), fans of these games will have plenty to do. Besides, the game also marks a change in the game’s graphic design and brings many new ideas forward. Just watch this Japanese trailer and see why Pokemon Black and White has Pokefans the world over seeing stars.
